Terms of Use

These terms govern access to Tewksbury Residents Directory. By using this private reference service, you accept these terms. Do not use the service if you do not agree with them.

1. Private Reference Service

Tewksbury Residents Directory describes and links to public record indexes, agency portals, and local historical collections. It does not host government files and has no affiliation with Tewksbury, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, a court, Registry, or any records custodian.

2. Acceptable Use

Use the service only for lawful purposes. Do not use it to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, harm, impersonate, defraud, or invade another person's privacy. Do not try to defeat access controls, reverse-engineer a protected address, scrape the service, interfere with operations, or use information contrary to law, court order, or a custodian's rules.

3. Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Its information may not be used to determine eligibility for credit, employment, tenant screening, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated purpose. The service does not provide consumer reports.

4. Third-Party Destinations

Links lead to outside offices and services. Their access terms, privacy practices, fees, and availability are their own. A link is a reference path, not a guarantee that a record is available or a statement that an outside service approves this one.

5. Information Is Not Guaranteed

Records, portal fields, collection holdings, hours, fees, and legal rules can change. A source may be incomplete, redacted, out of date, corrected, restricted, or incorrectly indexed. Confirm a material fact with the custodian before relying on it.

6. Limits of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, this private service is not liable for a loss or claim arising from use, inability to use, a source error, an outside link, an unavailable record, or reliance on general reference information.

7. Your Responsibility

You agree to indemnify and hold the service and its operators harmless from claims, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, violation of these terms, or violation of another person's rights.

8. Intellectual Property

Site design and original explanatory material are protected by applicable law. Official records, images, archives, and external websites may carry separate ownership, copyright, access, or reproduction restrictions. Obtain permission from the relevant owner before republishing material.

9. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be changed at any time. The current version is effective when posted. Continued access after a change means you accept the revised terms.

10. Ending Access

Access may be limited, suspended, or ended when needed to protect the service, comply with law, or address suspected misuse. This does not create a duty to monitor every visitor or every outside record.

11. Massachusetts Law

Massachusetts law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Public-record access for municipal material is governed by the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66 ยง10 and related sections; record-specific laws and court rules can impose different limits.

12. Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply to the extent allowed by law.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms or data held by this private service may be sent through Contact. Questions about a government record should go to the office that holds it.
